Tarangire Tortilis camp is a mid range accommodation found along Tarangire Road in Tarangire national park in Northern Tanzania just 150 km from Arusha . The camp is owned and operated by Tortilis collections that run unique and ambient accommodation across Tanzania. . The camp is set in the grove of umbrella thorn trees with stunning views over the vast African savanna and backdrop of baobab. One can be at the camp from arusha city by road transport taking approximately 2-3 hours’ drive then 50 minutes’ drive from Kuro airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the camp. The camp is convenient to tourists, travellers for safari adventures and relaxation with the views of savanna and surrounding areas.
Tarangire Tortilis camp contains over 5 comfortable elegant safari tents builts in between 4 line of magnificent baobab trees overlooking the vast expanse of wetlands modern comfort.
Rooms are well decorated, elevated with raised wooden platform and furnished with private en suite facilities like flushing toilets, bathroom with hot and cold showers , mosquito nets, wooden chairs , towel toiletries, complementary bottled water, dressing table, white curtains , wash basins to mention but a few . Tents have verandas and large sitting areas, you relax while overlooking the stunning view over the Tarangire savannah plains , wildlife visiting the camp especially elephants and surrounding area . Tents are un parallel and well equipped with excellent and comfortable queen sized bed with clean and washed beddings. There are fireplaces at the camp that provides warmth to visitors during the cold nights. Tents is in different sizes with single beds for individuals , double, twin beds and triple/family tents. Tents s cost ranges from 200$ per night and above, sometimes rate goes slightly high during high /peak season than in Low season.

Tarangire national park is considered to be the sixth largest park in Tanzania country found in south east of Manyara national park in the Northern part of Tanzania. The name of the park comes from Tarangire River that crosses the park and the river is the only source of fresh waters for animals in Tarangire eco system. It occupies the total area of 2,850 KM squared and its 150Km from Arusha.
The park is small with twenty six mammal, famous with large herd of big five animals like; Buffaloes , elephants, zebras, enlands, Rhinos Impalas ,antelopes, mention but a few and 500 bird species like; yellow necked , helmeted, barbet, starling ,swift ,stripped swallows etc. The park has different categories of accommodation like; Budget, Mid-range and luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to guests visitors visiting tarangire national park.
