Selous impala camp is a 3 star mid -range accommodation found on the banks of River Rufiji ,in the low sun area of borassus palms and tamarind trees with in the north –east corner of Nyerere national park (selous game reserve) Tanzania region. The camp is nestled to the east of the famed siwandu region of the park overlooking the great Views of the river and vast plains of the park. The camp is approximately 5-6 hours’ drive from Dar-el-salam and it takes a full day drive from Arusha city , it is perfect for flights when one is from Arusha taking approximately 2-3 hours flight /an hour flight from Dar-el salaam to the close siwandu airstrip then few minutes to drive to the camp.
Selous Impala camp consists of 8 spacious roomed and comfortable tents overlooking the great views of the river and the park reflecting local building style with palm thatched roofs, local woods.
Tents are well decorated, elevated on a raised wooden platform and furnished with en-suite facilities of Clean flushing toilet, bathroom with hot and cold running showers, solar energy available, beds wrapped with mosquito nets, slippers, free toiletries, white duvets, towels and bathrobes complementary bottled water to mention but a few .Tents have terraces and large sitting area you relax while overlooking the spectacular view over the river and the surrounding areas. Tents are equipped with excellent clean and washed beddings with queen and king sized poster beds. Tents vary in different sizes with single beds for individuals, double bed/ twins for sharing and family tent for group. The camp has cracking fireplaces where guests can relax and share stories and experience of the safari r not only that it also provides warmth to the guests during cold days.

They serve bush dinners overlooking the stars in the sky and morning breakfast enjoying the morning sunrises.

Selous game reserve is Africa’s largest and oldest game reserve situated in the protected areas in South Eastern Part of Tanzania Region along the safari circuit. The park was designed by UNESCO world heritage site in 1982 due to its wildlife diversity and nature.
