Mufindi Highland lodge is a mid- range accommodation situated in the rural areas of Mafinga on the top of the hill of the southern Highlands surrounded by Forest and rolling tea plantations in Ruaha national park Tanzania region. The lodge is set on 2000 acres of private estate landscape adjacent to the spectacular 2000ft Rift valley escarpment edge. The lodge is convenient and in a perfect base for tourists ,travellers who want to discover and explore the stunning views of the forest, hills and rift valley escarpment . The lodge is approximately 150km south west of Iringa by road and from Arusha city to Ruaha national park it takes 5-6 hours flight to the close airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the lodge. Flight is the best mean to travel to Ruaha national park.
Mufindi Highland lodge consists of 10 spacious and comfortable cozy wooden chalets with twins and doubles overlooking the fantastic views of African nature forest and across the valley reflecting African Traditional building style with natural materials of local woods and stones and high levels of comfort. Chalets are well elevated , decorated with timber and furnished with tranquility and en suite private facilities of flushing toilet , bathroom with hot and cold showers, mosquito nets , wooden chairs and tables , extinguishers, free bottled water in the rooms , free toiletries had wash basin , coffee making facilities ,white curtains to mention but few. Each chalet has a large Veranda out of the front, with a large Interior sitting areas and upstairs balconies that give a stunning view over the hill, forests and surrounding areas. Chalets are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds and wooden ceiling fans. There is a fire place pit with comfortable seats where guests relax especially after a safari as they share stories ,it also provides warmth during chill weather .Chalets are in different sizes with singles bed with individuals, doubles beds for couples / twins, and family rooming options with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above. The room rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.

A restaurant in the main building with the view of the park serving different cuisines both international and African- inspired meals that meets guests choice. Meals offered include Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the park or in the dining areas. Bush breakfasts are also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.
A-well stocked bar with a shared lodge variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, you relax on balcony while siping the sundowner overlooking the spectacular view of the hills ,forest and surrounding area.

Ruaha national park is the second largest national park in Tanzania after Nyerere national park found in the south of the central mid- point of Tanzania and west of Iringa Town . The park was established in 1964 and It covers the total area of 20,226 square kilometers (7,809 ) square miles The Park is most visited and has different categories of accommodations that include Budget, Mid- range/ moderate and Luxury/expensive accommodations that are convenient and affordable to any travellers, tourists visiting the park.
