Why visit lake Mburo National Park? Lake Mburo National Park is located Nyabushozi country in kiruhura district almost to the high way that connects Kampala to western national parks. This national park was at first a controlled hunting area and was later on turned or upgraded into a Uganda game reserve in 1963, however this park was gazette in 1993. This is the closest national park to Kampala city and as well as the smallest national park among all national parks in Uganda ,covering the an area of 260km square (100 square meters) as  aa park  and 370km square with 5 lakes with in the park .

Despite Lake Mburo National Park being the smallest park in Uganda, The park is home a variety of wild life like zebras, impalas, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles, alongside rare antelope species like elands.The park is also a haven for bird watchers and with over 350 bird species like mosque swallow, black bellied bustard, bare-faced-go away bird and Ruppel’s starling, payrus gunolok, shoebill, African fish eagle, grey crowned crane and other  much more  making it renowned scenic landscapes, diverse wildlife, and unique experiences.
