3 Days Akagera National Park : Akagera national park is found in the eastern part of Rwanda country close the border with Tanzania. Though Rwanda has different national park (Nyungwe and Volcanoes national park) , Akagera is among the best and most visited park in Rwanda occupying the total area of 1,122km squared. The park is characterized by woodlands, swamps, savannah and low mountains.
Akagera national park is the home of various wildlife with over 20 mammal species which include; Buffaloes, Elephants, over 15 number of Lions in the park , Zebras, Impalas, antelopes, Giraffes, Hynes , Leopards ,hippo ,Crocodiles etc and over 480 bird species which include; fish eagles, Cattle Egret, Hamerkop, Sacred and Hadada Ibis, Augur Buzzard, Long-crested Eagle, and Pied Crow, Black-headed and Viellot’s Black Weavers, Grey-backed Fiscals, Fan-tailed Widowbird and Caruther’s Cisticola

Day 1 ; Kigali city tour and Transfer to Akagera national park .
On arrival at the airport or any hotel in Kigali city , You will be picked by a safari guide (company representative) who will give you a short briefing then drive through Kigali for a short city tour trip then and depart for Akagera National Park in the east of Rwanda bordering Tanzania . The distance from Kigali to entrance gate of Akagera National Park is about 120km and the travel time is approximately 2 -3 hours’ drive. Upon arriving Akagera national park you will see the beautiful broad leafed woodlands, rolling Grasslands with extensive series of lakes , acacia woodlands, undulating plains with dense wildlife sighting and other beautiful sceneries. Later you shall continue to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2 ; morning game drive and Boat ride at Lake Ihema in Akagera national park
Wake up early, have breakfast and go for game drive in search of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, lions, several antelopes and introduced rhino. Return to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon you go for boat ride at lake ihema which will offer you with a great views of the surrounding areas, hills and swamps , You will as well see crocodiles, hippos and more bird species .Later you return to the lodge for dinner and over- night stay
