Mikumi wildlife camp is a mid -range accommodation found along the main road inside Mikumi national park southern Tanzania. The camp is close to the south gate of the park. The LODGE is nestled in the perfect location for safari adventures to tourists and travellers who want to explore the park with its beautiful views and a prolific diversity of wildlife and have a stopover to Ruaha national park. The best way to travel to Mikumi national park from ARUSHA CITY is a flight and From Dar-el-salaam it takes 5-6 hours to the close airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the camp.
Mikumi wildlife camp consists of 12 spacious and comfortable rooms overlooking the beautiful views of the wilderness reflecting traditional building styles with grass thatched roofs, local woods and comfort. Rooms are well decorated and furnished with en suite private facilities of flushing toilet , hot and cold showers, mosquito nets , wooden chairs and tables , extinguishers, free bottled water in the rooms , free toiletries, coffee making facilities ,white curtains to mention but few . Each rooms has terraces ,large Veranda out of the front, with large Interior sitting areas that give a stunning view of the wilderness and surrounding environment. Each room is well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds with clean beddings. Rooms are in different sizes with singles bed for individuals, doubles beds for couples / twins, and family rooming options with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above. The room rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.

Mikumi national park is one of the protected areas found in southern part of Tanzania. Being The fourth largest in the country, it is the most accessible Tanzania safari destination from Dar-el-salaam and Not far from the shores of the Indian Ocean. The park is situated south of the famous Selous Game Reserve near Morogoro in Tanzania Covering the total area of 3,230 Kilo meters squared Between Uluguulu Mountain in the North east side and The Rubeho and Udzungwa Mountains on the south western side. The park provides habitat for different wildlife that includes; elephant, giraffe, buffalo, Burchell’s zebra, sable, the largest antelope family , eland, Liechtenstein’s hartebeest, lion, leopard among others. Bird viewing is rewarding since it’s the home of over 400 species of birds in the park such as the African fish eagle, Lilac-breasted eagle, Bateleur eagle, …the Jackson’s Francolin, Sparrow hawks, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds and plovers.” The park has different categories of accommodation that includes; Budget, Mid- range/moderate and luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to guests visiting the area.
