How to get there

The park can be reached by air; from major Tanzanian cities such as Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, and Arusha, take a flight to Chato Airport or Bukoba Airport, then take a light aircraft to Ithanda Village or Ibanda airstrip, then to Murongo, from where you can easily access the park.

From Bukoba to Murongo is about 220 km, while from Chato to Murongo is 327 km. Also, road access is possible from Uganda and Rwanda through the kikagati border to Murongo. Or from Rwanda through the Rusumo border via Karagwe to Murongo.
