The 4 Days Nyungwe Forest National Park Safari is an exciting Rwandan adventure that explores one of Africa’s most pristine and biodiverse forests. This 4 day safari offers an immersive experience amidst Rwanda’s stunning natural beauty and incredible biodiversity.

Day 1: Arrival & drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park and canopy walk.

Upon arrival, depending on your location, you will be picked by the driver who will brief you about the tour and drive southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park with a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the National Museum of Rwanda and the king’s palace in Nyanza plus an enroute lunch

After lunch, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk. A swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. During your canopy walk, you will be able to see the amazing rainforests, spotting wildlife.

After connect to your lodge, check in and spend the evening at leisure as your preparing for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Hike Rukuzi Trail and Transfer Back to Kigali.

Wake up early in the morning and be served breakfast early. After meet your driver guide and then embark on a guided hike along Rukuzi trail.

This is one of the best hiking trails in Nyungwe Forest national park and is usually used by visitors doing chimpanzee trekking in the park which means that you stand high chances of encountering chimpanzees and other primates like colobus monkeys during your hike plus spotting spectacular views of Lake Kivu. After your hike, drive back to your lodge for lunch and relax for the rest as your preparing for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Visit Gisakura Tea Estate.

Wake up on an early breakfast and also have packed lunch and then head to the Park’s headquarters in Uwinka where you will be briefed about the rules and regulations and placed in trekking groups of 8 members per group.

After head out to the forest in search for the Chimpanzees. While tracking chimps in the forest, you will spot other primate species such as; the black and white colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey, golden monkey and other monkey species. After tracking the chimps have a good rest as your taking your lunch.

Later in the evening, you will head out to Gisakura Tea estate where you will be taken through the process of tea growing, harvesting, processing and packaging. You will even get to taste the delicious taste of the final product. Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Departure.

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at leisure and later check out of your lodge. You will then drive back to Kigali where your guide/driver will drop you off at any hotel of your choice or directly at the airport in time to check-in and board your flight back home.
