Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival in Kigali, you will be met by our company representative and transfer to Kigali city where you will embark on a city tour visiting Kimironko market and the Gisozi genocide memorial site. You will check in at your hotel where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After having breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will start your journey to Volcanoes national park.
Have lunch and transfer to Musanze – the nearest town to Volcanoes National Park found in the northern province of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura hotel
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
You will enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00am. After briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
However, the guides will try to find them from where they were last seen the previous day! You will spend 1 hour with these gentle giants and later return to your lodge to refresh and relax. In the evening, you can do an Optional community tour around Ruhengeri for a Rwanda cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay at Muhabura hotel
Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe and canopy walk
Breakfast will be served early and embark on the drive to Nyungwe forest national park with lunch en-route. You will also engage in a canopy walk and enjoy views of the rainforest from a swing bridge. After the canopy walk, you will return to your lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura visitor center.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking.
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing before entering the forest, searching for the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are the easy to spot, as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimp tracking usually takes about 3 hours. You will then transfer back to Kigali with lunch enroute. Your guide will drive you to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Gisakura visitor center.
Day 6: Flight to Tanzania
After breakfast at your lodge, you will proceed to Kigali for your flight to Arusha. Your guide in Arusha will welcome you, brief you about your safari and drive you to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Runako lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Tarangire national park, Game Drive
After your breakfast, you will continue your drive to Tarangire national park which begins your wildlife viewing experiences in Tanzania. After checking in at your lodge in the national park, you will prepare to have your lunch before heading out into the wilderness of the national park.
During your game drive, you will see different wildlife species grazing and roaming in the national park such as lions, giraffes, antelopes, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, wildebeests, elands, elephants, cheetahs, impalas and a variety of bird species can also be seen especially around the Tarangire national park. As you enjoy the sunset and scenery around you, your guide will dive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Manyara national park, Guided Walking Safari
Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Tarangire national park before checking out of the lodge and continuing your journey Lake Manyara national park. After lunch, you will have a game drive to search for wildlife species in this national park such as elephants, gazelles, buffalos, hippos, antelopes, waterbucks, hartebeests, warthogs, hyenas, giraffes, elands, impalas among others. You will also see various bird species during your game drive in Lake Manyara national park. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your game drive at Twiga lodge.
Day 9: Drive to Serengeti national park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti national park. You will see different wildlife species during your en route game drive in the open savannah plains on the way to your lodge. You will have lunch at your lodge as you prepare for an afternoon game drive.
During your game drive in the national park, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery such as the kopjes where lions can be seen as they watch their prey. You will also see various wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, warthogs, hyenas, giraffes, wildebeests, antelopes, impalas among others during your game drive. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.
Day 10 and day 11; full day Serengeti national park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and your guide will drive you on a morning game viewing experience around the central part of Serengeti national park where you will search for wildlife species like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, kudu, rhinos among others.
After having your lunches, you will engage in an afternoon game drive around Serengeti national park as you look out for wildlife species and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation; Osinon camps and lodges
Day 12: Drive to Ngorongoro conservation area
After breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will check out of your lodge and proceed for an en route game drive on your way to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have an optional visit to Ol duvai gorge which is an archaeological site where evidence of early man relating to human evolution was discovered by Dr Mary and Louis Leakey.
Your lunch will be served before you descend to the Ngorongoro crater to see different attractions such as Lake Magadi which is found at the center of the crater. As you explore the Ngorongoro crater, you will also see flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi in big numbers as well as other bird species. You will also see wildlife species in the crater area such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, hyenas, gazelles, kudus, predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs. You will also enjoy beautiful views of the scenery around you as you explore the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s tree inn.
Day 13: Drive to Arusha
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out of the lodge and continue your drive to Arusha where you will check in and have your lunch.
You will later drive around Arusha to experience the town and to interact with the locals and also visit the local market, the art and craft centers and the museums. Dinner and overnight will be at Runako lodge.
Day 14: Departure
You will have breakfast at your hotel ahead of your drive to the airport where your guide will drop you off which will bring the safari to an end.
