10 Days Uganda Gorillas and Tanzania Wildlife Safari
This 10 Days safari in Uganda and Tanzania, starts in Uganda for a Gorilla trekking journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park, following an outbound flight to Tanzania for the African big fives in Serengeti national park, Ngorongoro conservation area, Lake Manyara national park and Tarangire national park. This itinerary includes a gorilla safari to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is an excellent chance to gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas and combining it to a wildlife safari in Tanzania’s best destination covering the northern circuit. This safari will take you to Tarangire National Park, which has a large population of elephants, and Serengeti National Park, which is the first and most famous park in Tanzania and has a large population of lions and leopards. The tour will then take you to the heart of Tanzania’s safari region. And finally, you’ll end your safari at the Ngorongoro Crater, a world-famous site that some people have referred to as a “natural zoo” because of the abundance of animals that draw a variety of predators, including cheetahs, leopards, lions, and hyenas.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will be picked up to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park located in the western part of Uganda with approximately 540km from Kampala by road. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography and the experiment and another stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. These primates roam the park freely and there is no way of telling where they will be for a particular day. On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch packs and meet your driver / guide and transfer back to your lodge.
The time after trekking can be spent on a village tour or lazing off at the lodge as you savoir the memories of your gorilla trek in Bwindi and prepare for the next day. Dinner and overnight at Lodge as above
Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe (8-9 hours’ drive)
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Kampala/Entebbe arriving in late afternoon. Check-in at booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Cycad Guesthouse for budget/Best Western Garden Hotel for mid-range
Day 4: Fly to Tanzania (Own booked flight)
Depending on your flight schedule, you will be drop off at the Entebbe airport for your onward flight to Tanzania.
Upon arrival in Tanzania, the driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to your booked hotel in Arusha. Dinner and overnight stay at Burka Coffee Lodge for budget/Tulia Boutique Hotel for mid-range
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Manyara national Park Game Drive and Walking Safari
After breakfast, meet your safari driver who will welcome you for the safari and after short briefing, you will start your journey to Lake Manyara national park. You will enjoy an amazing introduction to the Tanzania wildlife with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. After your picnic lunch, embark on a guided nature walk and get closer to the natural surroundings in the park including animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, among others; and also enjoy the beautiful views around. Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park – afternoon/evening game Drive
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti National Park.
After having lunch, you will engage in a late afternoon game drive as you search for wildlife species in the savannah plains such as the big five like elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and also enjoy the beautiful scenery such as the kopjes where lions can be seen as they watch their prey. Day 7: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and your guide will drive you on a morning game viewing experience around the central part of Serengeti national park where you will search for wildlife species like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, kudu, rhinos among others.
After having your picnic lunch enjoyed in the wilderness, you will engage in an afternoon game drive around Serengeti national park as you look out for wildlife species and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above

Day 8: Morning game drive (Optional Hot air balloon) – transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area
You will start another day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti national park with breakfast prepared at your lodge. After having your breakfast, you will engage in a morning game drive around Serengeti national park.
Or, go for a hot air balloon. The hot air balloon gives you a chance to soar above the Serengeti plains and see more of the park while above, sweeping views of the sunrise, as well as a sparkling wine bush breakfast experience!

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Drive – Masaai Bomas cultural experience
After breakfast at the camp, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch you will descend the 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery, including the big 5 Ngorongoro animals.
You will look out for a variety of wildlife species, which include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants as well as predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopard. After the game drive, visit the Masai Bomas for a cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above

Day 10: Transfer to Arusha – Departure
You will have breakfast at your lodge, return to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, your guide will drop you off at the airport, which will end your safari.
